Dear Parents and Guardians,
In light of the ongoing situation and following guidance issued by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, we would like to share an important update regarding school operations. The authorities have announced a temporary shift to distance learning for all public and private schools and universities across the country, effective:
*Monday, 2 March 2026 to Wednesday, 4 March 2026*
This applies to all students, as well as academic and administrative staff. The situation will be reassessed during the week, and the period may be extended if required, based on further guidance from the authorities.
*What this means for Elite*
**For KG 1 and 2*
- All lessons and revision classes will move to distance learning from Monday to Wednesday.
- Schools will continue with learning continuity and ongoing evaluation, in line with CBSE requirements.
- We will share specific details directly with families, including learning schedules, engagement approach (live or recorded), and any curriculum-specific considerations.
- School transport services and all after-school activities, clubs, and external programmes will be suspended during this period.
*For Grades 1 to 4*: Formative Assessments postponed, will have revision online class from Monday to Wednesday
*For The Exam for grade 5 to 8*: *Final exam postponed, will have revision class*
*Grade 9 and 11: last 2 papers postponed till Wednesday, will update the new schedule mid week,*
**Examination update for CBSE families:*Grade 10 and 12: awaiting confirmation from CBSE for board exams*
We have been in direct contact with CBSE leadership, who have confirmed that local UAE government directives take precedence in the current circumstances. Further information regarding CBSE examinations impacted during this period, including any changes to schedules, will be shared by schools later this afternoon, once official guidance is received and finalised.
At this stage, there is no cause for alarm. This is a precautionary measure taken purely in the interest of safety and wellbeing, while ensuring learning continues with minimal disruption.
We remain in close coordination with the relevant authorities and will continue to monitor the situation carefully. Any further updates will be shared promptly through official school communication channels.
Thank you for your calm cooperation and continued trust.
Regards,
Dr./Ms. Kiran Mathai
